Sarbanes Highlights Negative Impacts of Trump’s Federal Hiring Freeze on Veterans

WASHINGTON, D.C. – After returning as a member of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee in the 115th Congress, Congressman John Sarbanes (D-Md.) today participated in a hearing hosted by the Subcommittee on National Security about efforts to improve and modernize the Department of Veterans Affairs.

During the hearing, Congressman Sarbanes highlighted the harmful effects that President Trump’s federal hiring freeze could have on veterans’ services, on veteran’s jobs and on oversight of the Department of Veterans Affairs.
