Sarbanes Statement on Explosions at Boston Marathon
WASHINGTON – U.S. Congressman John Sarbanes today released the following statement on the deadly explosions in Boston:
“The victims of the horrific bombing that took place yesterday near the finish line of the Boston Marathon remain in my thoughts and prayers. On Patriot’s Day – a day that is usually full of pride and excitement – a despicable terrorist act was inflicted on the people of Boston.
“But in dark times, Americans come together to support one another. Yesterday, we saw bystanders jump into action alongside Boston’s top notch first responders to help those who had been wounded. I am heartened by these acts of heroism and salute the state, local and federal authorities who are working tirelessly to investigate this act of terror and bring those responsible to justice.”
