Sarbanes Statement on President's Plans to Host Greek Prime Minister at White House
WASHINGTON – U.S. Congressman John Sarbanes (D-Md.) today released the following statement after President Obama announced he would meet with Prime Minister Antonis Samaras of the Hellenic Republic at the White House in August:
“I am extremely pleased that Prime Minister Samaras will meet with President Obama at the White House next month. Greece is one of our country’s oldest friends and staunchest allies and this meeting signifies our strong bond. I welcome the affirmation of our countries’ enduring relationship.”
