Sarbanes Statement on Veterans’ Day

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman John Sarbanes (D-Md.) issued the following statement in observance of Veterans' Day:

"Today, we recognize the tremendous debt we owe the men and women of our United States Armed Forces and extend our heartfelt gratitude for their service. Our nation's veterans, and their families, have made innumerable sacrifices to protect American values and interests around the world. And at home, our nation's veterans continue to make important contributions to communities across the country. That's why we must do everything we can to honor America's veterans and fight to ensure they receive the employment opportunities, education and benefits they have earned."
