Sarbanes Statement on Senator Miller’s Decision to Step Down as Maryland Senate President

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman John Sarbanes (D-Md.) released the following statement today after Senator Thomas V. Mike Miller, Jr. announced that he would step down as Maryland Senate President: 

“For more than three decades, Mike Miller presided over the Maryland Senate with purpose and distinction. From investing in our state’s transportation networks to protecting the Chesapeake Bay and strengthening our state’s public education system, Senator Miller’s leadership has delivered meaningful progress for hardworking Maryland families.
